Neuroblastoma Review

Many thanks Elizabeth O’Connor and Hany Gabra,  both consultant paediatric surgeons in the Great North Children’s Hospital, Newcastle for a timely review of this challenging tumour in our Oncology section (LINK). About 100 children present each year in the UK and are managed jointly by oncologists and surgeons.

They have contributed the first in a series of articles about some of the common oncological diseases that challenge the paediatric surgeon.  This month starts with Neuroblastoma and provides an excellent overview that is completely up-to-date with new terminology and current treatment protocols.
