NICE seeking Chair Interventional Procedures
NICE is currently seeking a new chair for the Interventional Procedures Advisory Committee (IPAC).
This committee draws on the best research evidence available to advise NICE on the safety and efficacy of new internentional procedures, such as new surgical, endoscopic and radiological techniques. NICE uses the recommendations of IPAC as the basis for its guidance on new interventional procedures to the NHS in the whole of the UK.
The successful candidate will chair the Interventional Procedures Advisory Committee (IPAC) and work in collaboration with the Centre Director and staff of the Interventional Procedures (IP) Programme to develop Interventional Procedures guidance on behalf of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
The appointment is for 3 years in the first instance renewable for futher periods, by mutual agreement, up to a maximum of 10 years.
Time commitment will be 2 days per week (assumed equivalent of 4 PAs for purposes of reimbursing the appointee’s host organisation).
